Interesting article, but can’t help but note the strawmanning of the “typical Christian” as a punching bag meme. There’s actually quite a diversity of views and interpretations amongst Christian hence the million and one denominations. Lastly in as much as one can appreciate the point you making about ppl getting dogmatically hung up on words, I genuinely feel a more meaningful analysis on the concepts behind the words would have been more significant ie just cause a word isn’t in the bible but the concept which the word articulates is present in the bible, what’s the fuss? Also considering that you used English words as a base of comparison and not original Greek and Hebrew. The whole English bible isn’t in the original bible but is a “conceptual” translation of the original bible. Thus focusing on the absence and presence of words vs concepts is almost being as shallow and hung up as the Christian’s one is trying to critic.
